We may have lost the legendary Jimmy Buffett earlier this week, but Parrot Heads don’t you fret, we will be lucky enough to always have a part of his spirit right here on our Intracoastal Waterway!

Fins up everyone, Margaritaville Landing and Riverwalk is currently under construction off US1 between the Melbourne and Eau Gallie Causeways, former location of City Tropics. It is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2024

This tropical oasis will include a marina with 221 boat slips. For those of you who like to travel our 321’s waterways, you can enjoy your “Boat Drinks” while you’re safely docked.

No boat, no problem! There is slated to be 4-level parking garage, but no need to stay in the car for a little “Grapefruit – Juicy Fruit”, you can head into the 14,000 sq ft Event Lawn which is proposed to hold up to 1000 people, where I’m sure you can find oasis.

If it gets a little too crowded and you feel like the “Volcano” will erupt, you’ll be able to take a walk on the Riverside Boardwalk where you will most likely hear a favorite Buffet song ambiently playing.

If you have a little too much fun at “Margaritaville”, you can enjoy a stay in one of the 146 rooms at the resort-like hotel, so go ahead, “Get Drunk and….”.

Have a craving for that “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, I’m pretty sure it’ll be on the Favorites Menu in the 2-story restaurant, seating for 400 people.

“Come Monday” and you find work is already stressing you out and you need a pick me up, you can bet this will be the perfect place for “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes”. Switch those work shoes for a pair of flip flops, and come and enjoy, because we all know… ”It’s 5 o’clock Somewhere”!

If you’re like me and have enjoyed the music of the gifted Jimmy Buffett, I can bet this will be a remarkable place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical atmosphere in which he could take you to no matter where you were, what attitude you had, or what time of day or night!
